Food Bank
Providing Everything You Need

Food Bank
The Student Union Food Bank is a vital resource on our campus funded through student fees. Our mission is to help reduce food insecurity among our student population. We offer a range of essential services, including access to our food pantry, which provides emergency food assistance and events to offer meals to students throughout the year. We are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment as we take steps to combat food insecurity on our campus.
The Food Bank now operates out of the Shark Tank. Each semester, students in need receive 50 points to exchange for food or hygiene items, while supplies last. After using all 50 points, students are encouraged to meet with the Financial Aid Adviser for further assistance.
Access begins on the Cornwall Student Union website, where students complete the intake process:
-
Students complete an affidavit confirming their need.
-
Students enter their required information.
-
Students choose an appointment window to pick up their food or hygiene items from the Shark Tank.
-
Students meet with the President of CSU in the Shark Tank during their allotted time to select their food or hygiene items.
-
Students must leave with their items after their appointment.
Please be advised that some of the food items available through the CSU Food Bank may have come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, dairy, eggs, and seafood. We cannot guarantee that any item is free from cross-contamination.
Students with food allergies or sensitivities are encouraged to read product labels carefully and exercise caution when selecting items. The CSU is not responsible for any allergic reactions or health issues that may arise from the consumption of food obtained through the Food Bank.
