Magic Jackson

About me:

Hello! I’m Magic Jackson Taylan, a second-year General Business student. I’m excited to be involved as an CSU Board of director, a role that perfectly aligns with my passion for leadership and community engagement.

Before coming to St. Lawrence College, I worked as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, where I really honed my skills in customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving. I was responsible for marketing, managing large-scale events, and addressing customer concerns, which taught me how to handle pressure and deliver exceptional service efficiently.

In addition to my managerial experience, I’ve also worked as a dance instructor and sports trainer. These roles helped me develop strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, especially when it came to managing budgets and planning events

I’m very involved on campus, having participated in events like Thrive and Recreational Fest. I’ve also volunteered in various capacities, such as serving as the mascot at graduation ceremonies and helping with student orientation. Winning the Team Spirit Award with my Thrive teammates was a proud moment, reflecting my commitment to enhancing student life and building a supportive community.

I’m thrilled to bring my proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for student success to my current role. I’m looking forward to contributing to the vibrant campus community and making a positive impact through the CSU Board of Director.
